Nobody pays to read.

The people you send a link to never need an account and never see a price. Only the workspace doing the publishing will ever be charged — and not yet.

Pricing

One price for your whole company.

Reading is always free, on every plan and with no limit. If a document is public or shared by link, whoever you send it to just clicks and reads — no account. The private settings ask them to sign in, because that is the only way to know it is really them. What you pay for is publishing, and it is flat per workspace rather than per person, so nobody has to argue about who deserves a seat.

Free

For one person, and anything you are happy to hand out a link to.

Publishing without an account needs no card and no plan. Paid plans are billed by Paddle, who are the seller of record and add VAT at whatever rate applies where you are. Tell us what you need if none of these is the shape of it.

Questions people actually ask.

What does it cost to read something somebody sent me?
Nothing, ever. Reading and commenting are free and always will be. If a document is public or unlisted you do not even need an account — you click the link and it opens.
What happens when the beta ends?
Publishing will start costing money and reading will not. We will tell you before anything changes, and nothing you have already published will be taken away or locked behind a payment.
Will you charge per person?
No. Charging for readers would punish you for sharing, which is the only thing this is for. Whatever the price ends up being, it will be for the workspace publishing, not the people opening links.
Do I need an account to publish?
No. You can drop a file in and get a link straight away. It disappears after thirty days unless you claim it, which takes a code sent to your email and makes it permanent.
What happens to my documents if I stop using it?
They stay where they are and the links keep working. You can pull the source of any version back out at any time — nothing is held hostage.
How big can a document be?
Five megabytes when you publish without an account, fifty when you are signed in. A dense report with charts is usually well under one.
